What moves a quote up or down: how much is there, whether it is light (drywall, wood) or dense (concrete, brick, tile, dirt), stairs or tight side yards, how far we carry, and current disposal fees. Local disposal rules in Knoxville and Knox County

This is the part most DIY hauls get wrong.

  • Construction, renovation, and demolition waste is not regular curbside trash and is not standard bulky-waste pickup in the City of Knoxville.
  • Knox County convenience centers may take a limited residential pickup-truck load of some C&D items. They do not take contractor or commercial loads, and they typically reject shingles, brick, and concrete.
  • Commercial and contractor debris has to go to a paid C&D or solid-waste facility. We already run those routes.
  • A roll-off on a public street or sidewalk inside Knoxville city limits usually needs a temporary street-use permit from City Engineering. A pickup on your driveway or private lot does not.
